One to One New Puppy Consultations
These are sessions initially held within the comfort of your home. They are a great start to training if you are waiting to come to class or if you are new to dog ownership and would like some helpful advice on how best to deal with your new puppy. It is a time when you can ask as many questions as you like on topics such as – housetraining, puppy play biting, settling at night, starting to leave your puppy during the day, teaching your puppy how to listen and stay calm.
You will be guided how to communicate clearly with your puppy while taking into account your circumstances and your puppy’s individual personality.
It is all about setting clear effective foundations for your future lives together.
One to One Dog Training
If you prefer a more individual approach to learning, you are unable to get to class or you have a specific training issue such as recall or lead walking problems one to one training may be the answer. Sessions are initially held at your home but can then take place in the park.
A home visit is always recommended if you have any concerns about your dog’s behaviour (whatever their age.) and you would like some helpful, friendly advice from a professional in the field of behaviour.
I would always recommend the first session takes place at your home. I can then observe your dog in its’ home environment free from distractions. This session usually lasts for an hour and a half.
My aim is always to leave you with an understanding of dog behaviour and how they best learn. It is also a time to ask me any questions you may have –about your dogs’ behaviour and how best to deal with it. This way once we start some training it can be applied with an understanding of how to get the best from your dog rather than just mechanical training where your dog is expected to behave like a robot!
Costs
Most people find they only need a maximum of two or three sessions at most. Prices start at £75 for a one and a half hour session within the South West London area. Subsequent visits from £50 for an hour. (Parking costs to be added on).
