Puppy Classes
These classes are suitable for puppies, 18 weeks and under at the start of the course that have completed at least one set of vaccinations. Courses book up quickly so plan ahead to ensure a place! (See class dates page).
The first few weeks with your puppy set the foundation for your future together. A well-run puppy class can guide you through those early weeks to show you how easy it is to teach your puppy – in a positive way, how to live in a human household.
Classes are held over a 4 week period and numbers are strictly limited to ensure the best learning experience for you and your puppy.
- As well as teaching you how to train your dog in the basic requirements for good manners – sit, down, stand, following on a loose lead, recall, stay, leave, calm handling and grooming.
- We also teach you how to motivate and communicate clearly so your puppy learns to listen to you.
- Teach you how to manage your puppy’s behaviour and give you lots of problem prevention tips on puppy behaviour.
- Your puppy will be able to meet other puppies of a similar age in a safe, controlled environment. Enabling them to learn social skills that will stand them in good stead for the rest of their lives.
Children of school age and above are very welcome in class and often make excellent trainers. Training is fun for them and their puppy!
